Savory Pastry ( Poğaça) These delicious savory pastries called 'poğaça' are a very common for breakfast or tea time treat in Turkey. They are easy to make at home; make your kitchen smell heavenly and they are very popular with children, as well as adults. There are many options for the filling; with cheese, potatoes, minced meat, etc.... Ingredients: For the dough: 125 gr. butter /margarin 1/2 cup oil 1/2 cup yoghurt 1 egg yolk (egg white for the top of poğaças) 1 pack baking powder (10 gr.) 1 teaspoon salt 3- 3,5 cups flour (as much flour as necessary) For filling: 2-3 potatoes (boiled and grated) 1/2 bunch dill (chopped) 1/2 cup kashar cheese (shredded) For topping: 1 egg white sesame seeds Instructions: 1- First, let's prepare filling.
